When his opponent from Roncalli had his racket slip out of his hand, Gabe called let and replayed the point. This continued several times until the other coach corrected him about the rule. Gabe was polite and showed grace in this long match that he lost in the 3rd set. |
Forest Park | Nathan Jarboe | Sectional match, Nathan ripped a winner from the baseline. opponent slipped and fell to the ground while trying to volley it back. Nathan immediately rushed to the net to make sure my player was okay and offered to help him to his feet. Even in the heat of the battle, he showed great sportsmanship on that point and continued it throughout his match. |
Lutheran | Cohl Erwin | Cohl was assisting his opponent with scoring and was communicating information in a manner that did not have to happen. He also told the opponent he nor his partner saw one of the calls so it was their point. A spectator for the opponent made a point to tell me how it was nice to see someone willing to be helpful and using such good sportsmanship. |
